Eligibility criteria
- Papua New Guinea citizenship
- Tertiary level diploma or degree qualification
- Aged between 25 and 35 years old
- Must be physically and mentally fit and possess a recent medical certificate of last three months.
- No previous criminal convictions

- Demonstrated high level of personal integrity, social conscience, and respect for the Rule of Law
- Proven ability and willingness to acquire a sound knowledge of Papua New Guinea law, regulations, policies, and procedures relating to the duties of a police constable
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with members of the community and colleagues and to respond to direction and instructions as necessary
